Become a Sponsor and Support Community Healing

The Hispanic/Latino community is facing a mental health crisis.

70% of families report rising anxiety, and over 1 in 5 adults face mental health challenges—yet only a third receive care. A major barrier? The lack of culturally competent providers: Latinos make up nearly 19% of the U.S. population but only 8% of the psychology workforce.

Join us as a sponsor to help break down barriers to care and create pathways to healing for our diverse communities during these challenging times.

The Emotional Wellness Fiesta

Our Emotional Wellness Fiesta brings essential services directly to the community in a celebratory, culturally affirming environment. Unlike traditional clinical settings, our event combines mental health resources, legal advice, food, and festivity—meeting people where they are, in ways that respect their cultural values. We also connect participants with the limited number of bilingual and bicultural mental health professionals available in our region.

With deep roots in the Hispanic/Latino community, our Fiesta also welcomes people from all minority backgrounds who face similar challenges. By sharing real-life success stories, we’re fighting the stigma that keeps our communities suffering in silence. Beyond immediate help, we’re building community resilience by connecting participants with ongoing resources and support networks.

Join us as a sponsor to help break down barriers to care and create pathways to healing for our diverse communities during these challenging times.

About Kompashion

Kompashion is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing mental health resources and support to individuals and families facing difficult times, with a strong focus on Latinx and minority communities. Through curated care boxes, educational events, and advocacy efforts, we help people show compassion and find tangible ways to navigate mental health challenges.

Our founder, Maria, created Kompashion out of her personal experience supporting her mother’s battle with schizophrenia while facing the stigma surrounding mental illness within the Latinx community. This journey revealed the urgent need for culturally sensitive mental health resources and open conversations around healing.
